President’s Message:
My friends!
As one who accompanies couples in the long process they need to go through to embrace a child of their own, I often experience their feelings at the end of the road – feelings of boundless joy.
In the circle of life, a no insignificant number of parents are informed that their children have cancer and are no longer a picture of health. For them, this is the start of a long, exhausting and agonizing road.
It is my great privilege to serve on the Presidium of Rachashei Lev, which accompanies children diagnosed with cancer, and supports and helps them and their families until their full recovery, just as I am privileged to help married couples bring a new life into the world.
The one activity complements the other, and together they seek to achieve the overall goal: joyous and happy parents, and mentally and physically healthy children, with a good future ahead of them.
Prof. Joshua Dor
President
Message from the Chairman of the Friends of Rachashei Lev Committee
There is nothing more precious than a child’s smile.
As chairman of the Friends of Rachashei Lev Committee, my family and I have engraved on our banner the following motto: Put a smile of joy on the face of every child who goes through one of the most difficult experiences for a person to this stage of his life, cancer.
Rachashei Lev angels embrace and support the child and his family through all stages until he recovers, taking care of the medical side, emotional support and boosting the spirits of children with cancer.
We are doing everything in our power to cure children of the disease and relieve them and their families of difficult treatments, using rare drugs, by collaborating with the best pediatric cancer doctors in the world, and by flying them to life-saving treatments abroad.
The dedicated team, the wonderful volunteers and the National Service counselors , stand by the children and families around the clock, taking care of them for a strong body and a healthy mind. A variety of games, performances, parties, birthdays, vacations in Israel, trips abroad, and the list of everything goes on and on.
It’s not just another organization, it’s a family.
I am happy and proud to be part of the Rachashei Lev family.
Avner Goldenberg
Chairman of the Friends of Rachashei Lev Committee
