The Dream Ambulance is a unique ambulance, the only one of its kind in the country, equipped as an intensive care unit. The ambulance was designed and adapted from a child’s point of view, in order to allow him a relaxed, safe and enjoyable travel experience, adapted to the world of childhood and his points of view.
The ambulance is designed as a luxury limousine, with armchairs, leather seats and comfort accessories. On the ambulance ceiling is a huge TV screen with a cinema system, disco lights, speakers and a variety of games – which allow the child to pass the time traveling at a disco party, karaoke, watching a movie or a game. A road camera is installed on the roof of the ambulance, which allows the passenger to view the route on the TV screen.
The ambulance is equipped with an electric patient bed, with a special pneumatic system for reducing shocks in difficult road conditions, medical equipment including an advanced respirator system, medication injection pumps, a monitor, a defibrillator and a state-of-the-art wheelchair.
The Rachashei Lev ambulance has traversed the length and breadth of the country. Hundreds of children have had a dream fulfilled and have visited amazing sites, from Mt. Hermon to Eilat, and from the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea. Behind every child’s journey in the ambulance is a personal, painful and moving life story. Every mile is worth it in order to ease a child’s suffering and to put a smile on their face.
